Armor upgrades: when and why
I'm an elementalist/mesmer and a necromancer/elementalist
Anyways I've bought all of the best armors from corwen in Ascalon and I'm wondering how long I'm going to be going until I find another place to get better armor? My E/Me just came to future and is only like level 7 while my N/E is level 9, just a little bit further ahead but I think I'm sticking with my E/Me. |

Also, are there any collectors in post-searing that I would have access to this early that sell any decent armor? Most collectors seem to give garbage
and one more question: Why do I keep getting these Focus Items +6energy (req 5 healing prayers). It seems like every quest I go on I come back with 1 or 2 of these. I end up selling them but I hope I'm not doing something stupid. I just can't figure out why all these quests give them out. |

I usually by the best they have to offer in Ascalon City. Occasionally I might get a minor upgrade at either Yaks Bend or Lions Arch. Usually the next decent jump is in Ventari's Refuge. After that, Droknar's Forge.
THat's the pattern I folloed with my Warrior and also following with my Mesmer and Ranger. One word of caution about collectors.. Later on after Lion's Arch you will find collectors that have decent armor for trade. It's a good way to get new armor without the cost of buying it. THe only problem is that it is not salvagable at the moment ( not sure if this is a bug or intentional) and so you have exactly NO chance of salvaging any runes out of "collected" armor. |

I skipped the armor in Ventari's and got AL 51 from the collectors. I could also get AL 60 from the collectors if I wanted, but I've decided to hold until Droknar's. As I understand it, AL 60 is the highest rating available for me Ele.
